All open enrollment training courses are held based on enrollment. Although OHM Medical Training Services Inc. will do its best to hold all scheduled training courses, no warranty or guarantee of any kind is made regarding holding any training course. If a class is cancelled by us, students will be given the option of receiving a refund, or transferring to the next available date at no charge.

OHM Medical Training Services Inc. assumes no liability for cancellation of courses for any reason or no reason whatsoever. Any ancillary costs related to the student taking a class (including but not limited to: Airfare, any travel costs, hotel, per-diem, mileage, lost employee wages or salary) are the responsibility of the student and/or the employer. If a class is cancelled, OHM Medical Training Services Inc. liability is limited to the amount of the registration fee ONLY. It is suggested that, prior to making any travel reservations or booking work off, you should contact our Registration Department at registration@ohmmedical.com to confirm a class has sufficient enrollment. 

OHM Medical Training Services Inc. reserves the right to dismiss any student from class for disruptive or inappropriate behavior. We understand that in many situations, students may need to be in contact with their personal/ work lives on an occasional basis. Please be courteous to the other students and the class instructor and instruct your employees/ family to make these calls ONLY during a break or at lunch. During class all students are required to mute or turn off pagers/cell phones. 

We will NOT interrupt a student or allow the use of a cell phone during class unless it is an actual emergency.

Students who are disruptive or exhibit inappropriate behavior will be removed from class and NO REFUND OR CREDIT WILL BE ISSUED.

Open enrollment courses have maximum registration limitations based on regulatory requirements. All registrations are taken based on a first registered, first served basis and then based on pre-payment of registration fees. Any course that reaches the maximum enrollment limit will be handled as follows:

When a class reaches its maximum capacity, registrations that are pre-paid will be guaranteed a course seat. All students that are registered but have not made payment will be given an opportunity to provide payment via credit card or mailed cheque. All registrations that are not paid in advance are subject to cancellation.

All OHM Medical Training Courses:

1. To book a training date, all courses require full course payment, and a signed copy of this policy be received in our office within 24-hours of signing stating that the registrar has read this document. Any booking not meeting this requirement is subject to cancellation without notice. 

2. Clients who cancel or reschedule a course date after full payment and a signed agreement has been received will be charged 25% of the total course cost to offset travel, trainer and administrative fees. Additional fees are imposed based on the following schedule: 

1. Cancellations or reschedules received with 3 business days or less left before the class start time (weekends are not included) will be charged a 50% cancellation fee

2. Cancellations or reschedules received with 3 business days or less left before  the class start time or students who do not show up for training will be charged 100% of the registration cost.

Course Cancellation/ Refund Policy

1. Any registration cancelled within 8 business days of the initial registration will be refunded in full. 

2. Any cancellation or reschedule made after this 8 business days grace period will be billed a 25% administrative fee unless it is within the following time periods: 

1. Cancellations or reschedules received within 3 business days before the class start date (weekends are not included) will be charged a 50% cancellation fee* unless they are with less than 3 business days of the start time. If a registration falls into this category, the student will be charged the following: 

   1. Cancellations or reschedules received with 3 business days or less left before the class start time or students who do not show up for training will be charged 100% of the registration cost.* 

1. "BLS/ ACLS Guaranteed" Classes: Registration MUST be RECEIVED 8 business days (M-F) BEFORE the class start date to be considered for the Guaranteed Class program. 

   1. In the unlikely event that OHM Medical Training Services Inc. is not able to hold a Guaranteed Class, we will refund the original registration fee AND issue a cheque for the amount of the registration to the student/company. 

   2. Cancellation of classes due to weather, acts of God, terrorism or conditions beyond the control of OHM Medical Training Services Inc. will void the Guaranteed Class policy. In such instance OHM Medical Training Services Inc. assumes no liability for cancellation and any ancillary costs related to the student taking a class (including but not limited to: Airfare, travel costs, hotel, per-diem, mileage, lost employee wages or salary) are the responsibility of the student and/or the employer. OHM Medical Training Services Inc. liability is limited to the amount of the ORIGINAL registration fee. 

* If a student cancels and there is a balance due, the  balance can ONLY be transferred to an upcoming course date or used as a credit for online training.

Please Note: OHM Medical Training Services Inc. processes registrations for over many students each year. To insure proper credit to your account, when canceling a course, you will be issued a Cancellation Number. Please make sure to keep this number in a safe place.  It is the ONLY proof the cancellation was done on a timely basis and in accordance with the above policy. If you cannot produce a  VALID Cancellation Number, you WILL be required to pay full tuition. 

Special Note for all Certification courses. All students who register for these courses will be subject to the following policy:

1. We will NOT release certificates of training until all fees have been paid. 

2. If you reschedule, space in future classes cannot be guaranteed. We will be happy to accept registrations the Monday before the class as long as there is space and the class has been confirmed. 

3. Any student who "NO-SHOWS" (either failing to show up for a class or canceling when there is less than 72 hours remaining before the class starts) will be charged a fee of $125.00. This fee is IN ADDITION TO ANY CLASS FEES ALREADY INVOICED OR PAID. Any balance due MUST be paid before a certificate of completion is released. 

4. Students will be considered a NO-SHOW if they do not provide 72 hours advance notice. 

WAIVER/RELEASE AGREEMENT 

I (Student) understand that there are risks and dangers inherent in participating and/or receiving instruction in any of the Courses hosted by OHM Medical, hereinafter "Activity". I also understand that in order to be allowed to participate and/or receive instruction in Activity, I must give up my rights to hold OHM Medical Training Services Inc. liable for any injury or damage which I may suffer while participating and/or receiving instruction in Activity. 

Knowing this, and in consideration of being permitted to participate and/or receive instruction in Activity, I hereby voluntarily release OHM Medical Training Services Inc. from any and all liability resulting from or arising out of my participation and/or receipt of instruction in Activity.

I understand and agree that I am releasing not only the entities set forth in the paragraph above, but also the directors, instructors, agents, and employees of those entities.

I understand and agree that this Waiver/Release will have the effect of releasing, discharging, waiving and forever relinquishing any and all actions or causes of action that I may have or have had, whether past, present or future, whether known or unknown, and whether anticipated or unanticipated by me, arising out of my participation and/or receipt of instruction in Activity, except for the acts or omissions of OHM Medical Training Services Inc., its directors, instructors, agents or employees which are found to be negligent by a court of competent jurisdiction.

I understand and agree that this Waiver/Release applies to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death which I may suffer, even if caused by the acts or omissions of others.

I understand and agree that by signing this Waiver/Release, I am assuming full responsibility for any and all risk of death or personal injury or property damage suffered by me while participating and/or receiving instruction in Activity.

I understand and agree that this Waiver/Release will be binding on me, my spouse, my heirs, my personal representatives, my assignees, my children and any guardian ad litem for said children. 

I understand and agree that by signing this Waiver/Release, I am agreeing to release, indemnify and hold OHM Medical Training Services Inc., its directors, instructors, agents or employees harmless from any and all liability or costs, including attorneys fees, associated with or arising from my participation and/or receipt of instruction in Activity.

I acknowledge that I have read this Waiver/Release Agreement and that I understand the words and language in it. I have been advised of the potential dangers incidental to participating and/or receiving instruction in Activity.
