Course Description:

This one-day course is required to become an ACLS Instructor and teach the ACLS Provider and ACLS Provider Renewal courses for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Candidates apply to the program by providing recommendation documentation that is reviewed by a selection committee.

Prerequisites:

  • Current Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada – ACLS Provider card.
  • Current Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider - C card.
  • Current registration as a healthcare professional including physicians, paramedics, nurses, respiratory therapists, dentists and military levels QL5 and above.
  • Recommended by a Current ACLS Instructor or Faculty
  • Willing to teach min. 4 classes in a 2 year period
